Kirsten Sequoia
An adventurous person, Kirsten Sequoia spent her youth backpacking and camping with her family at the lakes and in the mountains of her backyard, Northern California. After a brief stint tree sitting to protest clear cutting old growth stands in Oregon and Washington’s national forests, she came back home to attend Forestry School graduating from Humboldt State University in 2005. After graduation she worked seasonally for Jackson Demonstration State Forest, Rocky Mountain and Yosemite National Parks. Kirsten has been working as a Watershed Coordinator for the Gualala River Watershed Council, assisting landowners with conservation planning and securing project funding. When she’s not measuring trees and writing reports you might find her visiting friends and family, growing vegetables, playing music or camping with her fiancé Sean and their dog Amelia.
